July News: Divine Eleven wins again

Divine Eleven continued his prefect start to ownership under the Viva Racing banner with a gritty second up win at Grafton over the July carnival.

Stepping up in weight and distance was no issue for the son of Redoute's Choice who accounted for his rivals well, pulling away for a dominant win on the line under experienced hoop Michael Cahill.

Divine Eleven will head back to Brisbane City grade next start in either a Class 3 handicap at Doomben over 1600 meters this Wednesday or Class 3 plate over 1800 meters on Saturday at Eagle Farm.

Trial Review

A couple of nice trials last week with Viva runners approaching first up runs for the preparation.

Sweeping the Board now ready to head off to the races after a number of trials. The four year old gelding had a good preparation last time in placing on a number of occasions at City level. He had no luck with wide barriers plaguing his campaign, however we believe with some natural improvement he can win a Saturday City race this preparation.

Quirky Acumen was another who trialed well at the Gold Coast last week. He is a very quick horse with a few tricks up his sleeve, however has a number of good wins in him if he can put it altogether on raceday. Acumen will likely need another solid piece of work or potentially a second trial before he heads off to the races.

Stable star Subterranean trialed extremely well in Group/Listed company against the older horses at Warwick Farm. Coming off a Group 3 win last preparation, Subterranean is on target for a Group 1 Spring campaign in either Sydney or Melbourne with the aim to stretch him out over 2000 meters and above. Subby will have a second trial at Warwick Farm on 3 August before heading off to the races.

Upcoming Trials

A number of runners are stepping out over the coming weeks where we aim to build on our best ever season.

Divine Eleven: Aiming for a hattrick of wins, the inform gelding will run at either Doomben (28 July) or Eagle Farm (31 July) this week.

Sweeping the Board: First up from a spell and will kick off his campaign at either Ipswich (30 July), Lismore (30 July) or Gold Coast (31 July). Expect him to be hard to beat wherever we place him.

Stella Reale: Too bad to be true first up from a spell at Grafton over the carnival. Stella will line up at Lismore on 30 July and look to see her bounce back hard with a step up in distance ideal.

Vivendo il Sogno: Was excellent at Doomben first up and unlucky not to win, whilst last start he got held up at a crucial time and ended up in the wrong part of the track. Plan is to see him line up next week at either Eagle Farm (4 August) or Ipswich (5 August).

Snitz: Stable stalwart ran well without luck in the Ramornie at Grafton last start. His next race start is likely to be at Doomben on 7 August before a crack at the Listed Gold Coast Stakes on 27 August.

Subterranean: Set for a big Group 1 Spring campaign. He will run first up in the Group 3 Up and Coming Stakes over 1300 meters at Randwick on 14 August.

BETTER THAN READY x LET'S CHILL'EM FILLY

Early running QTIS yearling filly joins the stable with a great opportunity to head to the races before the end of the year.

Better Than Ready x Let's Chill'em has a bit of substance to her pedigree – bred on the same cross as QLD’s leading 2 year old this year in Alpine Edge (Better Than Ready out of Freeze Mare) who was a dominant Group 3 winner in the B.J. Mclachlan followed by a slashing second in the Magic Millions.

Filly is also a ¾ sister to a nine-time winner Lepreezy who has won 9 races with over $325,000 in prizemoney and bonuses in her career to date and she is still only a 4 year old.

Filly has completed her second preparation in at the Matthew Dunn stables where she has shown good ability on the track. She will now have a 6 week spell before returning to the stables at Murwillumbah to target the early two year old races in QLD.

Added bonus with this filly is she has been registered and paid up for lucrative QTIS breeding bonus scheme. If she can win a Saturday race in Brisbane as a 2 or 3 year old it’s worth $80,000 which would see owners re-coup their purchase in one race.

Great opportunity to jump into an early running filly at an affordable price.
