Breeding Partnerships

Our first breeding partnership launched last year has kicked off in great fashion. The partnership included a nice filly called Oceans of Energy and broodmare Shorthand. Oceans of Energy has started her career in style winning dominantly on debut at Grafton and then progressing on to win a Brisbane Saturday metro race at her second start. The daughter of Dundeel has stakes grade written all over her. She will be at her best as a three-year-old over 1600 plus and we were delighted to get her to the races as a 2-year-old, let alone win her first two career starts. Our partners will have plenty of fun racing the filly over coming years and any black type will see her value increase significantly in the breeding barn.

The second offering of our partnership was a broodmare called Shorthand, in-foal to leading stallion Spirit of Boom. Our lovely filly was born in August last year and she has done extremely well under the care of Widden Stud.

We will look to offer the Spirit of Boom filly at the Magic Millions sales next January with the expectation of a nice return for her partners.
