He cruised to win the Breeders’ Plate, the first 2YO contest of the year; a true mark of an early-maturing runner. He then went on to win the Magic Millions 2YO Classic in fine fashion. While many young horses burn out quickly in their first season of racing, Capitalist demonstrated extraordinary tenacity to win the most important 2YO prize of the year; the Golden Slipper. 13.1% of his 2YO runners perform in stakes company, and with 62 stakes horses to his name, he is passing his own fast-maturing quality on to his progeny.
 

Dam Petite Choix, is an unraced daughter of one of the greatest broodmare sires in Redoute’s Choice. With 187 stakes winners to his name as a broodmare sire, his daughters include the dams of Anamoe, Zoustar and Super Seth, to name but a few.

Petite Choix’s dam Petitis Filous was a Group 3 winner during her career and described by her trainer as ‘wickedly fast.’ She won five races during her career, four in succession and was a 2-year-old winner.

This colt has completed his early education at Kenmore Lodge with positive reports from the breakers.
